Ann H. Franke

Ann H. Franke is a lawyer who specializes in higher education. She works with colleges and universities around the country on policy, risk management, and employment issues. She is a popular lecturer and also writes for publications including the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, Trusteeship, and Academe. Her B.A., M.A. (linguistics), and J.D. degrees are from the University of Pennsylvania and her LL.M. from Georgetown University. Through a Fulbright senior scholar award, she enjoyed the opportunity to study the development of private universities in Australia. She is an avid chamber music fan, plays cello, and coordinates the Rock Creek Chamber Players monthly free concert series.
