Byron Lane is the author of A Star Is Bored, a debut novel People Magazine named a Best Book of Summer and the New York Times hails as “wildly funny.” Lane is also an acclaimed playwright and screenwriter. He’s previously worked as a journalist and assistant to celebrities including Carrie Fisher. He’s originally from New Orleans and lives in Palm Springs with his partner, author Steven Rowley, and their dog, Tilda.

Steven Rowley is the bestselling author of Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book of 2016 and The Editor, named by NPR and Esquire Magazine as one of the Best Books of 2019. Both novels are in development as feature films and his fiction has been published in nineteen languages. Rowley has worked as a freelance writer, newspaper columnist and screenwriter. Originally from Portland, Maine, he is a graduate of Emerson College and currently resides in Palm Springs with his partner, the novelist Byron Lane.
