Featured festival events on October 30 include a Master Class conducted by John Edgar Wideman; a keynote talk by writer/critic Michael Dirda; workshops in fiction and nonfiction led by Tope Folarin, E. Ethelbert Miller, Lauren Francis-Sharma, and Margaret Talbot; the presentation of the Fitzgerald Award to John Edgar Wideman with introductory remarks by Walton Muyumba; and a reading by Wideman.

Since 1996, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Festival has honored Fitzgerald's work and prominent American literary artists. Through this year's online presentations, we also hope to expand our reach to support, encourage, and assist aspiring and emerging writers and students. We thank our supporters, the City of Rockville and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, whose generous contributions fund this festival. We also thank our partners, the Writer's Center, Montgomery County Public Libraries, Montgomery County Public Schools, Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, and Peerless Rockville. Their contributions of staff and services make this annual festival possible. For more information and updates, visit www.fscottfestival.org.
