Meet Michael Chabon

  • December 4, 2016

The author of Moonglow comes to DC on Tues., Dec. 6th, at 7PM.

Meet Michael Chabon

In Moonglow, his tenth work of fiction, Chabon, best-known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, draws on his own family history as he imagines the murky origins and murkier fate of Chabon Scientific Company, a mail-order novelty business. This expansive narrative unfolds as an old man’s deathbed confession to his grandson; over the course of his final week, the man leaves a dizzying legacy of half-revealed secrets and shocking revelations as he looks back over a tumultuous century and relives scenes from an impoverished childhood in south Philadelphia, wartime Europe, a prison in upstate New York, and the American space program. 1 Book and 2 Tickets: $30; $28 for members.

At Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, 600 I St., NW, Washington, DC. Click here for more info.
