Meet Maryland-based indie bookstore Mystery Loves Company

Declare Your Independent!

“We are in an historic and beautiful bank building set on the waterfront of a 17th-century town,” says Kathy Harig, owner of Mystery Loves Company in Oxford, MD.

Since 1991, the indie bookstore has been delighting locals and tourists alike with its “personalized, curated, eclectic collection of mysteries, general fiction, nonfiction, books on the Chesapeake, and books by local authors.”

Speaking of books, the store’s recent bestsellers include Harbour Street by Ann Cleeves, Bruno Chief of Police by Martin Walker, and Ed Cutts: Designer, Boatbuilder, and “Cutts Method” Inventor by Wayne Brown.

Of course, if those titles don’t sound appealing, Harig and her staff are standing by to offer customized recommendations on “books for all ages to educate and make you smile.”

Mystery Loves Company is located at 202 S. Morris St. in Oxford, MD. Call 800-538-0042 for more information, and click here to find them on Facebook.
